Interactive 3D holography

AirStrike provides precise free-air interactivity based on computer vision (stereo vision). It is particularly adapted to applications like : 3D visualization, holograms (like in this example), Huge! screens interactivity, "no touch" screens (water falls, smoke, pulsed air).

BeatBearing

A tangible rhythm sequencer. Ball bearings are used to trigger (Roland TR-808) drum sounds. Visual feedback is provided from a CRT display underneath to indicate the current time and the state of each beat.

Timelapse Hatching Tortoise

This is a timelapse of a baby tortoise hatching. It spans about a 15 hour time period. The camera was set anywhere from 1 frame every 5 seconds to 1 frame every 2 minutes, depending on his activity level. Music by: "The Animals".

Bonnie, a 30-year old whistling orangutan

Bonnie, a 30-year-old female orangutan living at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C., began whistling a sound that is in a humans, but not an orangutans, repertoire after hearing an animal caretaker make the sound. Bonnie is the first-known orangutan to imitate a sound from a human's vocal repertoire.
